Rosemaling Tine | Blue
Rosemaling is one of the most traditional art forms still in existence in Norway today. We sell hand made products, where all woodwork and painting is done by hand, by local craftsmen- and women in Norway. This is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Norwegian culture and history. A "Tine" was used to store and transport food, and also serves as a beautiful and decorative piece.
The tine is approximately 15,7 inches in diameter and is painted with blue as the base color. The design and decor will vary from the image and no tine will ever be the same - they will all be beautifully handcrafted for each order.
The painter is Rune Nesher, an award-winning rosemaling painter, who lives in the small town of Treungen in Telemark, Norway. Rune has painted his whole life, and rosepaints full time as his profession. He sources all his wood-work from local craftsmen in Telemark, and often each tray will also be made to order.
